Carribean Christmas

For Christmas, Phil is taking me back to my people...Island people, that is. :) We couldn't be more excited. Here we are with our boarding passes waiting for our plane to Atlanta, and then on to the Caribbean!!!! I don't know why our boarding passes are backwards, but hopefully they'll still let us on to our plane.

A Durias Christmas

Papa got a glass boot for his Coca Cola. We call him Cinderello.

Uncle Phil with the camera and Little Joshua with his chubby cheeks.

Auntie Ligaya: "Paige, your eyes weren't open in the picture. Make sure you keep your eyes open this time."

Our Happy Hour

On our first night of Christmas vacation we celebrated the 28th birthday of my friend Donny Vanker (far left). Afterwards we all looked out over the Seattle skyline from Ligaya's office. As good a view as the Space Needle, but for a fraction of the price....$0.

A Starbucks Pre-Christmas

Phil + Ligaya + Starbucks + Christmas presents before Christmas = memorable.

Pre-Christmas with the Vankers

Kristi Vanker (left) and her husband Donny (picture coming) moved out to Seattle this year from Detroit. Donny is a good friend of mine from college and he accepted the job as the Youth Director for Crossroad Bible this fall. Kristi wanted Ligaya to have some "Santa Baby" mugs. Yes, mugs in honor of the Christmas song. Amazing.

Meet Rustin Vanker. One word: cute!

Our Heroes!

Ligaya baked cookies for the construction workers who gave us power last Saturday. They were still working on Sunday morning when I took this pic. The above telephone pole is the source of our electicity, which was snapped like a tooth pick in the windstorm.

2 of 533,000 in Seattle Still Without Power

Ligaya and I awoke to no power in our neighborhood on Friday morning. We stayed at our friends house last night because it actually got below freezing in Seattle! On Saturday afternoon the crew was repairing our downed power lines and we hope for heat and light sometime tonight. Click here for more information

Groundbreaking at Our Church!

Next Monday construction begins at our church for a new sanctuary building. Click here to visit our webcam!

Together again!

Ligaya's friend Amanda Mavis (far left) had a baby shower in Spokane last weekend. Ligaya and her Multnomah buddies had ample opportunity to express their femininity. Phil saw a movie.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

The first Peterson Christmas tree. Notice the color coordination. Notice the available spaces for "Santa" to visit our tree.
