Pre-Christmas with the Vankers

Kristi Vanker (left) and her husband Donny (picture coming) moved out to Seattle this year from Detroit. Donny is a good friend of mine from college and he accepted the job as the Youth Director for Crossroad Bible this fall. Kristi wanted Ligaya to have some "Santa Baby" mugs. Yes, mugs in honor of the Christmas song. Amazing.

Ligaya baked cookies for the construction workers who gave us power last Saturday. They were still working on Sunday morning when I took this pic. The above telephone pole is the source of our electicity, which was snapped like a tooth pick in the windstorm.

ELECTRICITY AGAIN!

As of 7:11PM on Saturday evening we have enjoyed our electricity again like never before.

2 of 533,000 in Seattle Still Without Power

Ligaya and I awoke to no power in our neighborhood on Friday morning. We stayed at our friends house last night because it actually got below freezing in Seattle! On Saturday afternoon the crew was repairing our downed power lines and we hope for heat and light sometime tonight. Click here for more information

5 Houses Demolished in 4 Hours

The houses have been demolished to make way for our church's new sanctuary. These pictures say it all.

The Stork Is Coming This Summer

Ligaya and I are going to be an aunt and uncle again! My sister-in-law Bekah Durias is expecting in June and my sister Kristin Schulte in July. Anyone else?

06:30PM - Arrive at Seattle Golf and Country Club for ABD's Christmas Party.
08:35PM - ABD's co-workers get down on the dance floor.
09:06PM - Arrive at my staff Christmas Party during gift exchange.
09:35PM - Win Starbuck's Gift Card.
10:36PM - Party at Josh Durias' Starbucks.
12:01AM - Arrive home....

Ligaya's friend Amanda Mavis (far left) had a baby shower in Spokane last weekend. Ligaya and her Multnomah buddies had ample opportunity to express their femininity. Phil saw a movie.
