Today Ligaya and I went to church with Shelby (2nd from left) who lives above us with her buddy Jody (far left). They are friends from Francis Schaeffer's L'Abri in Switzerland and we enjoy getting to know them over a cup of tea at our place.
On Friday I had the priviledge to don the striped shirt at our church's high school and college group broomball tournament. The best part was that I made and enforced the rules.
I liken it to a quote by the famed Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura who said, "It is my way or the other way."
An interesting Seattleite approached me while I was at a Tully's coffee shop. This was our conversation:
Seattleite: Hey marsupial! Phil: Huh? Seattleite: What up homosapien? Phil: [confused look] Seattleite: You know…. what up man? Phil: Okay. Seattleite: You don’t smoke, do you? Phil: No. Seattleite: Bye.
...Ligaya and I were in Minnesota celebrating our wedding at the Peterson home. Here my mom, sister, Ligaya and I are visiting my dad's old stomping grounds in the town of Stillwater.
Minnesota is always this beautiful in the fall....well....except this year as winter has already arrived. Today the temperature is in the low 20's to mid 40's...ouch!
Our festivities began with a dinner with my brother, Josh, and his wife, Bekah. Papa, Mama, and Ty (Bekah's brother) came over for dessert. This picture was taken the moment Phil realized what I had made--His favorite dessert! (recipe compliments of Mom Peterson:))
