Checking out the Chicago Sites

Riding on the l-train.

Millenium Park
The bean in Millenium Park
A river somewhere.

A building that had parts of other buildings from all over the world. My husband may be dismayed that I don't remember the name of this building, but we did visit it.
Shopping on the Magnificent Mile. H&M!

Chicago Art Museum

We visited the Chicago Art Museum. Here are some of the highlights from our time in there. The ugliest painting we saw there.

Fun with the statues.

Elsen Wedding

We had pleasure of celebrating with our Wheaton friends another wedding. 9 out of 10 of Phil's housemates from the Graham House at Wheaton his senior year were reunited to stand with Dan during his wedding. It was a beautiful time.

Twenty-Eight

For Phil's birthday this year, we had a full day of events which included a morning of kayaking from south Lake Union to underneath the 520 bridge in Lake Washington and back. We had so much fun watching planes land and take off, and looking at all the house boats.

Two years ago...October 1st

Phil and I have been married for two years now. Here's a little walk through memory lane from two years ago.

By the way, we had such a wonderful anniversary celebration this year! Picture sto come...

September 29th, 2005: Getting To Know You

The Durias side of our family hosted a Filipino feast close to where I grew up. Here, we were able to spend time with our out-of-town guests.

Our friend, Nate Allman (in the picture above, middle) put on a great concert for everyone. He also lead the songs during the rehearsal and wedding.

Some more friends that came to celebrate with us.

September 30th, 2005: Rehearsal Dinner

Our Peterson side hosted a wonderful rehearsal dinner at the Edgewater Hotel.

The tables each had a year with pictures of us during that year.

Some of my beautiful bridesmaids.

September 30th, 2005: Guys and Dolls

The day before the wedding, we had some fun with our friends that traveled to be with us.

The girls showered me with presents and had lunch together.

And the guys went to Dick's and went kayaking.

Mr. & Mrs. Peterson

All Phil's guys...Enough to make a football team.

Just after walking out of the church after the ceremony.

Our first dance.

What Filipino celebration would be complete without an entire pig (or two, or three)? Here are some of our friends that made it possible to continue the celebration with our own pig head!

Honeymooners!

We honeymooned in the Riviera Maya, just south of Cancun, at an all inclusive called, Secrets of Excellence. This is the view from our room. Just to the left of the picture is the ocean.

Here we are in the main lobby area on our way to dinner.

On our balcony before a day on the beach.

On a snorkeling trip. Like my life jacket?
